Description

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs basic vessel operation procedures and ensures that vessel and equipment conditions are acceptable.
Controls the navigational watch.
Controls the vessel manually, by joystick, or automatically in the dynamic positioning mode.
Ensures that all navigational equipment and publications are in order.
Ensures that all life saving appliances are kept in operational condition and ready for use.
Confers with the deck foreman and chief engineer to keep the vessel in an acceptable seagoing condition.
Reports to the DP Operator concerning the loading condition and stability of the barge.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Has the ability to work on the Bold Endurance - DP Class 2 Vessel

Master - Hold a certificate equal to a British DOT Class 1 Certificate of Competency, Barbados Certificate of Competency, a DP Certificate, and have three (3) years experience as Master on DP vessels

Chief Mate - Hold a Masters License equal to or better than British DOT Class 2 Certification, Barbados Certificate of Competency, and have two (2) years experience as Chief Mate on DP vessels

Second Mate - Hold a License equal to or better than the British DOT Class 3 Certification, Barbados Certificate of Competency, and a DP Certificate and have one (1) year experience as 2nd Mate of DP vessels.
